A Special Brand of Caring
At Las Palmas Medical Center, we understand that women have special healthcare needs. We have designed our Women's Surgical Unit on the 6th floor with that in mind.
The oversized rooms in the Women's Surgical Unit have floral curtains, wooden floors, and home like furniture to make our patients feel more comfortable. The nurses on the Women's Surgical Unit are specially trained to work with women who are dealing with Cancer and Oncology issues.
The Women's Surgical Unit also houses the Green House Library. The Green House Library offers access to the most comprehensive information available on Cancer and other related health issues. The Green House is a program of the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation and is named in honor of late el Paso Community Leader, Leighton Green.
Our outpatient Women's Diagnostic Center is located on the ground floor of the Oregon Medical Building. The following services are offered:
- Mammography
- Breast Ultrasound
- OB/GYN Ultrasound
- Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
- Needle Localization
- Bone Densitometry
- Education Resource Center
- Women's Diagnostic Services
