The Baby Place
At Las Palmas Medical Center, we celebrate the birth of every baby by playing a Braham's Lullaby throughout the entire hospital. Our Baby Place, located on the fourth floor, has all of the amenities of home. Our oversized labor and delivery suites resemble a small apartment with den furniture, table and chairs, microwaves, refrigerators, televisions, and stereos. In addition to all of the comforts of home, the Baby Place has state of the art equipment, wireless fetal monitors as well as a fully trained labor and delivery team.
Our Post-Partum rooms, also located ont he fourth floor, also offer a home like setting to welcome your baby. Our postpartum unity offers rooming in with the baby as well as various classes to teach you about the care of your new baby.
To prepare for your new arrival, Las Palmas Medical Center offers a whole series of Prepared Childbirth classes. All of the classes are offered in both English and Spanish. Call 521-1279 to register for our classes.
If your pregnancy has been categorized as a High Risk pregnancy, Las Palmas Medical Center has a high-risk pregnancy clinic located at 1700 N. Oregon, Suite 700. Our high-risk regency clinic offers the GE 4D ultrasound that allows your baby's lifelike image to appear on screen to see how your baby is doing. Ask your physician for a referral.
After the baby is born, The Baby Place has a transitional nursery up to a Level III to care for your baby.
